Major Stable Release: API 24.04 Now Available

We are pleased to announce the availability of our new major stable API release. This version brings support for the latest web technologies, enabling better conversion of webpages using modern frameworks and implementing improvements to content layout formatting. We will detail the features in a separate blog post.

This is a major version release, and all new future features and improvements will be directed to this version. While previous API versions will be maintained, and existing API integrations are not required to switch to the new version, please note that they are now frozen and will not receive any new development or bug fixes. For more details, see our versioning page.

Upgrading

If you have an existing integration, it will not automatically switch to the new version; a user action is required. Below, you will find the instructions for upgrading individual integrations. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

In general, we recommend testing the new API before using it in production.

API Client Libraries

To use the new API, upgrade your API client library to version 6.0.0 or higher. No changes are required to your existing API implementation. If your implementation uses setConverterVersion(), set it to 24.04.

You can access the new API at the following endpoint:

WordPress Plugins

The new plugin version will be available in the coming days. Once available, upgrade to the latest plugin version (4.0.0 or higher) and follow the instructions in the plugin settings.

Fresh plugin installs will use the new API automatically.
