Italic Text not rendered correctly

safetymatters wrote on 2016-02-11:
Hello,

I am trying to print some italicized text on a PDF build from an HTML file and can not get it it to render properly.

Here is a link to the PDF: http://www.esafetymonkey.com/lms/files/temp/report_2016_02_11_08_10_19.pdf

HTML file it is build from: http://www.esafetymonkey.com/lms/files/temp/report_2016_02_11_08_10_17.html

If you notice, in the HTML file in the Notes: section on some of the items in the table, it is rendered as italic in the HTML file but not the PDF. I've tried wrapping the text in a <i> tag, a <em> tag, and using it with inline styles <span style="font-style: italic;"></span> and the result is always the same.

Any idea why this is happening?

Thanks.

Hello,

This seems to be a bug in our system.

Your page loads two font files via @font-face - regular and bold. Could you try to load also the italic font file via @font-face?

I think that was the problem. We are using Google Fonts for the fonts and I added in the italic option for the font we were using. After that it seemed to work.

Thanks!
