Hi,

I have a printed page with several google maps.
All is ok except some background images not dowloaded.

It is possible to call a function to start generation of PDF when all background has dowloaded ? or other ?

I am trying to convert a html to a pdf, but it is struggling with the Century Gothic font I am using - I have tried @font-family as well and it still is not working.

Multiple PDFs or images into one? (1 reply)

Hi

I saw an earlier post where it seemed joining together multiple PDF's from a shoping cart type application is not that easy. Is it possible to join multiple images together using the API and javascript only? (I am limited to the hosting solution i can use and cant install anything).

The client ideally wants to join together multiple PDF's but i guess i could get them to out put as jpegs and these could be joined instead if it is easier?

Style file with in head not being picked up (3 replies)

I am using convertHtml to generate a PDF and have it returned to my application. The page being converted includes the use of in the head section of the page. The style file for the page is based on the base URL being prepended to the style file URL. Example:

When the page that includes this information is rendered the style file is not being picked up/used as expected. Should the style file be picked up and used when the page is rendered?

I do get the page back without error but it has been created without any styling which of course means it is not correct.

Hello,

We have purchased domain license for Save as PDF link.
Now we are facing two problems...
1) Save as PDF button not working as url getting modified internally using .htaccess rules.. Error we are getting is 'Time out error'.
2) We need to add / include a static cover page in every conversion.

Hi there,

We're currently evaluating pdfcrowd for use in our web application. The API works brilliantly and with the code examples I was generating pdfs in mere minutes.

Looking at the documentation I read in the rate limiting section that you cannot send simultaneous requests, but that you should serialize your api calls. Ours is a multi user application, so there's a significant chance that 2 users may click to generate a pdf concurrently. The suggestion of simply resending failed requests is ok but is a bit wasteful of network traffic if it can be avoided. Just wanted a clarification on 'serializing' your api calls. Does that allow you to send multiple pdf calls in a single http request?

Ordered list font different from the content font (2 replies)

I'm having difficulty with ordered lists when converting HTML to PDF. The font I'm using for the content is Arial, but the numbers in the ordered list are showing up as Arimo.

I've appended the @font-face css technique to my HTML, but no luck.

Anybody have a suggestion to resolve this?

I'm trying to convert HTML to a PDF online, and do it to "One Long Page", but the output is a 1.3mb file that is completely blank.

If you use your mouse to try and select anything in the document, it appears that there is something there, but it's hidden behind a blank page?

Any thoughts on why it would output a blank page?

We are currently using jdk1.5.0_06 , but the provided jar of pdfcrowd works with only java 1.6. So can we get the jar file which works with java 1.5.

i took this HTML (PasteBin) and pasted it in here.
the PDF looks good except that it cuts the images in to halfs.

tryed to put the <div style="page-break-before:always"> before the images that got cutoff and it didn't worked.

what can i do? thanks.

Hi there.
I tried to include this HTML to PDF api (PHP) on my site, but i always get this error:

Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /htdocs/public/www/pdfcrowd.php on line 362

I thought it could be permissions beacause my tokens are being spent, but no pdf file is saved, so i created a new php file with a simple:
fopen, fwrite, fclose to the same directory where my pdf was supossed to be saved to, and it works.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

While I have successfully set up generating a PDF from HTML in Internet Explorer, the same website returns the following error in Chrome:

Duplicate headers received from server
The response from the server contained duplicate headers. This problem is generally the result of a misconfigured website or proxy. Only the website or proxy administrator can fix this issue.
Error 349 (net::ERR_RESPONSE_HEADERS_MULTIPLE_CONTENT_DISPOSITION): Multiple Content-Disposition headers received. This is disallowed to protect against HTTP response splitting attacks.

Is there anything I can do to fix the issue, or this due or is it because the header field in the response from your server is not enclosed in quotation marks or similar?

Would really like some basic clues to get started using the PDFcrowd addon for ExpressionEngine. I have a development site up and running, I've installed the PDFcrowd addon and I want to add a link on some pages? "print this page as a PDF". I can't get the example code below (with substituted values) working in any way....

{exp:pdfcrowd:generate url="{site_url}/template_group/template_name/{segment_3}"}

The error is "Pdfcrowd Error: name lookup timed out" I'm clearly not using the code properly, but I don't know what else I should be doing...

Any tips please?

Hi PDFcrowd support.
I use your create PDF link on my website and had very good results.
I had created a new page with exact definitions and tried to use the same key, however, in this case the left side of the page is being cut off. Again, in any aspect of desining definition, there is no difference between both pages, but just the content output is a little different.
Any idea why its happening and what should I do in order to get that fixed?

I tried creating a pdf using the pdfcrowd api for a HTML file that has an embedded image in it (i.e. an img tag with a data URI scheme conforming src URL), and the output doesn't show the image. Instead it shows a gray border box in the location where the image is. Does PDF crowd support generate pdfs from HTML source that contains images using the data URI scheme?

When trying to generate a PDF containing several large images, I get a timeout.

Placing lower dimension images works, removing the images completely also works.
Each image is 300kb(ish).
Is there a way to increase the timeout?

For what its worth, I'm doing this using ExpressionEngine with the PDFcrowd addon.

I modified the html to include target="_blank" - didn't help.

I am working on a multilingual website which has english and arabic version now and later other languages will be added also. You tool works well with english, But when i am trying to print the arabic version of the page it added about 10-15 white space in the begining of the most line and this behavior is random.

also still page doesnot come up right .

I have attached converted PDF files in english and arabic also, and i am using following code to for PDF
